I know I don't normally post on the blog on Fridays, but I have a couple of Blog Brags that are LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG overdue.  I'll do 3 today and three more Monday.

What can I say about Joyce?  Man, oh man. She may be small, but she is mighty.  I am incredibly proud of her today because she rocked the socks off of both her reading and spelling tests.  How does she fit all that intelligence in that little body? I just don't know.  It seems like her brain would be too big for her head.  She doesn't have a big head.  She's got great hair on her head, but it's not too big of a head.  But, I'm off topic.  Joyce is a wonderful person.  If you don't know her, you should.  I'd be glad to introduce you to her.  She'll be nice.  Because she's nice.

Blog Brag:

Hailey:  The sweetest girl in the world is in my class again!  I definitely did a Happy Dance when I saw that.  Hailey moved in Fieteopoly today because of her hard work.  She leads by example, and I appreciate and emulate that very much!  I hope I grow up to be like her one day.  I'm not sure if you know, but Hailey is pretty much the bees knees.  I'm lucky to know her.

Blog Brag

Jason:  "Captain Serious," as I think I'm going to start calling him, has been making moves on Fietopoly!  I think he's made more moves than anyone in the class so far.  He's a good citizen for sure.  Today, he helped me out by picking up rugs and bean bags without anyone asking him.  It saved my weary back!  It's a challenge to make Jason smile-- he's very serious (hence his nickname).  Today in DIBELs I found that he's great at retelling what he reads.  I'm expecting big things from Captain Serious!  So glad he's a Fiete Folk now...

Lizzie:  Lizzie is a ball of energy!  She keeps me on my toes.  Lizzie is turning over a new leaf this year, and she's going to get and stay organized!  She is bright and attentive in class.  I'm excited to learn about her reading tastes and compare books with her!  Yesterday in writing, she wrote quite a lengthy piece for her prompt... could she be a write-a-saurus rex?  Time will tell!  I'm lucky to have such a bright, kind-hearted student in my class....

Blog Brag:
Jovan J:  Jovan is new to me this year, and I'm still learning about him.  What I have already found out is that he's studious and really takes school seriously.  Also, he looks like he should be in a magazine! He always dresses so snappy and looks so nice.  One day, he said he had a bad hair day, but I didn't see a single hair out of place!  I'm really looking forward to learning more about Jovan.

LUUUUUUUUUUUUUke:  I'm really excited to see Luke again. One of the most exciting things going for Luke right now are his shoes. Have you seen those beasts?  They look amazing!  Sometimes, while I'm teaching, I come up with strategies for sneaking them off his feet and getting them onto mine.  Somehow, though, I think he might notice. And he might get upset.  So... I might have to NOT do that.  Boo.  But Yay Luke!

Kyle:  I think Kyle's the strong, silent type.  That's what I've decided.  Kyle is the third kid in his family that I've had in class.  Time will tell if he's my favorite!  I really adore Kyle's smile.  I think it's one of the best parts of my day.  You know what I think? I think Kyle's an undercover readsaurus rex.  I don't know why I think that, but I do.  I'm excited to find out more about THIS and get him talking to me about books.
