Dear Mrs. Fiete,

     Thank-you so much for writing back.  You made us laugh several times.  We miss that.  We are glad to hear that you are enjoying Katie and that Jake is such a great snuggler.  We are making you very proud.  We just got done reading about The Man Who Named the Clouds.  In math we are multiplying partial products.  In social studies, we have started to learn about the American Revolution, (stinkin British:) and in science we have been learning about rocks, erosion, natural resources, and electricity. 
    It sure is getting cold out there, so don't forget to bundle up when you go out!

HELLO FIETE FOLKS!

Hello everyone! This is Mrs. Fiete--- and Katie too.  She's sleeping in her bouncy seat next to me.  Jake's taking a nap in his big boy bed (we're trying to convince him to give his crib to Katie).  I've FINALLY gotten a chance to check all your questions, and I want to answer them! :)

We have been busy in the Fiete house.  Last weekend we were gone to North Carolina for a wedding.  The car ride was 10 hours long and Jake and Katie both were NOT happy about that.   Yesterday, Katie started screaming as soon as I set her in her car seat to go to her Grammy's.  She does not like being in her car seat!  Jake is being a crazy 2 year old boy.  About two weeks ago he shattered the screen on my iPhone by accident.  So frustrating!!  I do most of my email and internet checking using my phone when one or both of the kids are asleep (because I usually only have one arm to use!).  Because the screen is cracked I can't SEE the words-- so I apologize for my delayed responses...

How many times have you changed Katie's diaper today? (Lauren)  -- Well since midnight (because that was the start of today) I have changed her diaper 5 times.  It's gotten better.  It used to be that I had to change her diaper after every time she ate-- which can be about every 2 hours-- but now it's less.  WOOHOO!!

Is Katie a big handful?  (Kaileigh)  She can be.  She's so little and has no way of letting me know what she wants/needs... I just have to start guessing.  When I don't guess correctly, I get frustrated.  And she's pretty demanding.  She wants what she wants exactly when she wants it.  :)  But she's super sweet and a fantastic snuggler!

Is Jake syill trying to take atttention from Katie?  (hayelee)  OOOOOOOOhhhhhhh yeah.  :)  He's not mean or bad, but he isn't used to sharing my attention.  When she starts to cry, he starts to fake cry.  When I'm feeding her, he still likes to get into mischief:  standing on tables, running and jumping on the couch, trying to ride the dogs, and even let himself into the backyard to play!!  He's a good boy, and he never does anything to hurt Katie.  He just does stuff that annoys me and gets my attention.  But it's all good when he snuggles up next to me and says, "Sowwy Mommy.  Love you."  :)

How much does Katie keep you up at night? (Devin)  She sleeps for about three hours, then is up for an hour, sleep three, up one...  so that's not TOO bad.  Her brother was much worse!  The hardest thing is putting her down into her bassinet.  She wants to be held all night.  And when I SUPER GENTLY lay her in her bed, and she wakes up and cries... we have to start all over.  :)  But she's doing pretty well.

Does Katie like Jake?  (Martino)  I don't know what Katie likes yet!  (Besides the Steelers)  She doesn't seem to care much about people or stuff other than eating and snuggling to sleep.  

Where does Katie sleep in the house? (Xavier)  Katie has a bed right next to my bed.  That way I can hear her, check on her, stare at her....  :)

Miss you all very much!  I hope everything is going great!  Keep up the excellent work.  Make me proud!
