Blog Brag

Jason:  "Captain Serious," as I think I'm going to start calling him, has been making moves on Fietopoly!  I think he's made more moves than anyone in the class so far.  He's a good citizen for sure.  Today, he helped me out by picking up rugs and bean bags without anyone asking him.  It saved my weary back!  It's a challenge to make Jason smile-- he's very serious (hence his nickname).  Today in DIBELs I found that he's great at retelling what he reads.  I'm expecting big things from Captain Serious!  So glad he's a Fiete Folk now...

Lizzie:  Lizzie is a ball of energy!  She keeps me on my toes.  Lizzie is turning over a new leaf this year, and she's going to get and stay organized!  She is bright and attentive in class.  I'm excited to learn about her reading tastes and compare books with her!  Yesterday in writing, she wrote quite a lengthy piece for her prompt... could she be a write-a-saurus rex?  Time will tell!  I'm lucky to have such a bright, kind-hearted student in my class....

Math:

• Study Link 1.4 due tom (some worked on it in class)
• Math on Morning Work Quiz tom, study!

Science:

•  Miss Wernsmen:  finish reading and answering questions for science exit slip

Social Studies:

• "Latitude, Longitude, and hemispheres" wksht due tom
• We worked on our balloon globes today... sadly, it appears one group's world deflated (insert sad sound here)

Reading:

• August RCQ due 9/4
• Spelling Test tomorrow-- study!

 Writing/English:

• Morning Work Quiz tomorrow-- study!
